Senior Technical Manager Salary: £75k plus package Location: Kent This is a Senior TM role with a difference. You will be working in a factory on premium products supplying top-tier products to a unique range of premier customers. We need an experienced technical expert who understands team leadership and development, working closely with the customers and how to operate in high-value, commercial environments. Great opportunity for someone wanting to develop teams and operate with autonomy. Technical Manager role: Developing the technical team and implementing a proactive approach to the technical agenda. Working closely with the Operations Director. Close contact and first POC for all customers. Set the strategic technical agenda for the business ensuring close communication with all functions. A key member of the Senior Management Team on site. Develop a technical team ensuring the correct balance of skills is in place to support the business. Plan and monitor Technical KPIs, reviewing trends and taking the appropriate action. General upskilling around technical skills and food safety. Heading up technical related projects for the business. Embedding an ‘audit ready’ culture. The Business Successful branded (and own label) food manufacturer supplying a range of customers, some unique! Longevity across the customer base. A commercial Technical Manager that can work with the teams providing expert knowledge enabling the business to continue to grow. Proven achievements in the development and upskilling of technical teams. Previous experience and success in developing customer relationships. Detailed understanding of retailer audits and the BRC audit process. A listener with the engagement and communication skills to bring a positive influence.
