Permanent & Full or Part time Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner – Lancashire

Voyage Care is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. Our PBS Practitioners are at the heart of our delivery of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

We’re currently searching for a dynamic Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to promote least restrictive practice, develop positive risk management and embed a trauma informed culture. The role will support the delivery of quality of life outcomes at two specialist supported living services in Lancashire: a service in Preston and another service in Lytham St Annes. This will promote a collaborative approach and ensure that the people we support gain more independence in their daily lives and maximise quality of life outcomes.

You will be responsible for developing functional behavioural analysis, developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans and attending multi-disciplinary meetings, promoting a culture of reflective practice.

A bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (such as Level 5 BTEC Diploma in Positive Behaviour Support) or Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, or a related field (such as Positive Behaviour Support) or Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology or Equivalent Qualification.

The Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner for our Lancashire services must be a skilled practitioner and role model, demonstrating resilience, flexibility and composure in their approach. In addition, they will ideally have experience of working with people with forensic risk and will engage collaboratively with the operational management team to develop and embed a therapeutic model of support at the service, within a PBS framework.
