Finance & Procurement Lead Permanent Belfast – Flexible working Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a candidate who will be responsible for managing procurement activities and financial operations for a prominent organisation. Your new role Lead Procurement Activities – Oversee the Procurement Process, Strategic Procurement Planning, Stakeholder Collaboration, Contract Management. Prepare Management Accounts – Monthly Reporting, Financial Analysis, Budget Analysis, Cash Flow Management & Financial Review Meetings. Assist in Year-End Accounts Preparation Coordinate Financial Information Gathering and Audits – Department Coordination, Audit Facilitation, Year-End Collaboration & Schedule Preparation. Completion of Monthly Funder Claims – Claims Submission, Liaison with Program Managers, Fund Management & Funding Forecasting. Monthly Payroll Checks – Payroll Review, Data Validation, HR Collaboration, Finance Staff Support, Backup Support & Payroll System Migration. Line Management of Staff – Team Leadership, Ongoing Feedback, Performance Reviews and Development, Workload and Resource Management & Project Financial Leadership. What you’ll need to succeed Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, OR a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with at least three years of experience in a fast-paced finance role. Experience: At least three years of experience in a finance role, with a strong focus on procurement and management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments. Leadership: Proven track record in managing staff, driving team performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Desirable Criteria Grants and Reporting: Experience with grants and funder reporting, with a solid understanding of compliance requirements. Procurement Leadership: Experience in a leading role in procurement activities, demonstrating effective management of procurement processes.
