Who are you? Are you a Mechanic by trade or progressed into management/supervisory roles within mechanical installation. With a keen eye for detail, advance knowledge in the utility sector where health and safety is paramount, you would also be used to working on-site. Who is our client? What is the role? This position is responsible for overseeing the Mechanical planning, coordination, and execution of site works, which includes mechanical installations, servicing, and commissioning. Key aspects involve managing a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring they are equipped and informed to carry out their tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism. What you will be doing: The key objectives of the appointment are – To oversee the engineering, planning & execution of site works inclusive of mechanical installations, servicing and commissioning, ensuring correct equipment, tooling and materials are available to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality installations of the clients product on-site. To provide direct liaison to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a clear plan and leveraging support from stakeholders where required to deliver outcomes. To liaise with any other area of the business as is necessary to organise and attend ‘ready for site’ sessions, conducting desktop site works rehearsals and ensuring thorough preparation. To produce & oversee fulfilment of works Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work, Toolbox Talks, COSHH assessments and safe working procedures, ensuring the health and safety of personnel for the working activity. To undertake site audits/visits, producing and submitting any required site reports and overseeing standards of workmanship & professionalism for client systems and installations. About You: Relevant/similar site management / project management / project engineering experience within a customer-based or customer focused environment delivering technical installation & commissioning work scopes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in management of Health and Safety responsibilities and implementing safe systems of work. HNC or above in relevant technical discipline. This may be substituted for significant, demonstrable working experience. City & Guilds/NVQ in relevant technical discipline
