As a Performance Media Strategist, you’ll lead the planning, activation, optimisation and reporting of digital media campaigns across social and digital platforms, with a focus on X, LinkedIn, Meta, and YouTube. You’ll be the driving force behind campaign strategy, execution, and performance insights, shaping how we connect with audiences and deliver impact for one of our biggest clients in the environmental communications space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, is obsessive about data, and wants to push boundaries in a fast-moving media landscape. You’ll work closely with creative, strategy, and analytics teams to ensure every campaign runs at peak performance, and you’ll have the freedom to change what’s not working.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, setup, and day-to-day management of paid media campaigns across social and digital platforms.
- Own media buys across X, LinkedIn, Meta, and YouTube — building sophisticated campaigns that balance reach, engagement, and performance.
- Monitor campaign delivery, targeting, and creative results — and use analytics to uncover insights and make optimisation decisions in real-time.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to influence strategy, tactics, and creative to maximise results.
- Produce clear, insightful weekly performance reports and present results to internal teams and clients with confidence and clarity.
- Stay on top of platform updates, cultural shifts, and digital trends to inform strategies and content recommendations.
- Manage your workload across multiple live campaigns and shifting priorities with precision and calm.

Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in planning and buying performance media, paid social, or digital media strategy.
- Deep familiarity and experience with platform tools and advertising ecosystems, especially X, LinkedIn, Meta and Google Ads (YouTube).
- Strong understanding of digital targeting strategies, campaign objectives, and platform-specific best practices.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets and measurement platforms, and a love for turning data into insights.
- Highly organised, with excellent time management and project coordination abilities, and an excellent track record of handling multiple campaigns simultaneously at scale.
- Sharp written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex performance insights clearly and concisely.
- Creative thinker with a proactive mindset and a strong eye for visual storytelling.
- Comfortable managing multiple work streams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
