We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and culturally fluent Social Media & Content Manager to lead the evolution of our brand's social presence. This is a pivotal role for a digitally native brand builder who can translate brand strategy into bold, best-in-class content and community engagement.
You will lead the charge in shaping and executing a bold, category-leading social media strategy across all our platforms, with a particular focus on TikTok and Instagram, whilst expanding our reach and performance in new spaces such as Snapchat, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Working across our portfolio of brands globally, including Colab, the most followed Dry Shampoo in the world, and Johnny’s Chop Shop, the UK’s leading male grooming brand on TikTok, you will curate amazing social media content that tells the unique story of our brands; with the objective of growing our social media engagement and followers, whilst driving real results.
You will collaborate widely across the whole business including Sales and the Brand team, bringing your knowledge and passion for all things social to create a buzz about everything you are doing, backed up by data providing clear and regular reporting to the business on performance against KPIs.
You will be the key contact with the Founder and Creative Director for the external social media communication of SLG Brands, alongside managing the Social Media Internship programme.
Strategy and Content Creation- Define and continuously evolve the organic social strategy to drive brand awareness, affinity, and growth.
- Translate brand strategy, product launches, and cultural insights into holistic content plans.
- Create monthly brand content plans, including copy, across all platforms and brands with approval and sign off from key stakeholders and then the scheduling of posts.
- Get hands-on with filming and editing (e.g., Chair the weekly creative trend meeting, ensuring that opportunities across the portfolio are then executed timely (within the same week) either through your own filming and editing or by the appropriate content creators).
- Monitor local social channels and broader industry activity to ensure content remains cutting edge and impactful.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Managers as appropriate on brand competitions and partnerships on social platforms.
- Assist in community management including responding to direct messages.
- Develop and manage social strategy documents and toolkits to support UK third parties and local international teams.
- Manage the delivery of brand social dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work with the Marketing Managers on the analysis of campaign performance against KPIs; making recommendations for future campaign activity, paying close attention to continual improvement of the effectiveness of content to drive engagement and awareness.
- Set clear KPIs and platform-specific strategies across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels.
- Participate, where required, in retailer/distributor sell-ins, representing the Social Media team for SLG.
- Curate the SLG Brands business presence and content plan on TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn working closely with the founder and joint MDs.
- Manage the social media intern program, where we take three students a year for one day a week over a 10-week period.
- Build a roster of creators & editors in the UK & USA who can be utilised for both trending and campaign content.
- Proven track record in social media/content roles in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle.
- Strong strategic and creative skill, with the ability to lead ideation through to execution.
- Advanced content creation and video editing capabilities (CapCut, Adobe, Canva).
- Experienced in briefing and collaborating with content creators and production teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Resilient and agile with the ability to react quickly to trends and cultural moments.
