BIM Technician

Job Role: BIM Technician Location: Birmingham  Salary: £28,000 – 30,000  Aztrum is delighted to be working with a consultancy who are seeking a BIM Technician with a passion for digital design and precision modelling to support our growing team of architects and engineers. You’ll play a critical role in the development and coordination of 3D models and 2D documentation, contributing to a wide range of projects across various sectors. Role of a BIM Technician: Create and maintain precise BIM models using Autodesk Revit and other industry-standard software. Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure fully coordinated design solutions. Prepare detailed construction documentation, including drawings, schedules, and supporting materials. Oversee the organization and upkeep of project BIM files in alignment with internal and client-specific standards. Support the execution of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and assist in streamlining project workflows. Identify and resolve modeling issues while ensuring consistent quality control across all project deliverables. Qualifications required for this BIM Technician role: Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Navisworks, BIM 360, or other BIM tools is a plus. Strong understanding of architectural, structural, or MEP design principles. 2+ years of experience in a BIM Technician or similar CAD-based role. Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 19650. Detail-oriented mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Degree, diploma, or certification in architecture, engineering, drafting, or a related field.
