Invigorate Recruitment is working with its client, an award-winning Independent Travel Agency Group, providing bespoke luxury tailor-made holidays to recruit an experienced Travel Consultant.
As a Travel Consultant, you will be expected to provide first-class customer service to manage all travel requirements and holidays for clients, no matter how large or small a trip may be. You will be expected to provide all tourism-related services including but not limited to the following:
- Researching extensively, planning and booking every aspect of customers' holiday experience.
- Providing all relevant information, brochures, and internet links for customers.
- Advising customers on all visa requirements and any country-specific requirements.
- Booking flights and accommodation, package tours, travel arrangements, and transfers.
- Processing all booking administration and documents accurately with high attention to detail.
- Liaising with clients if any changes occur, finding solutions should any problem arise with a booking.
- Attending promotional events on behalf of the Company and gaining product knowledge.
- Maintaining and developing good working relationships with Supplier partners, customers, and colleagues.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maximise sales opportunities and achieve branch targets.
Essential Qualities required for the Travel Consultant:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to persuade and influence, interact and negotiate effectively.
- First-class attention to detail and customer service experience.
- Commercial awareness and up-to-date, in-depth product knowledge.
- Comfortable promoting additional products, such as airport hotels, lounges, attraction tickets, and demonstrating strong sales skills.
- Ability to manage any complaints raised by customers regarding products, services, and experiences.
Desirable:
- A passion for travel, demonstrated through personal experience.
- Experience with Inspearational or other widely used reservation systems.
- A degree or other relevant qualification in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, or business.
