CSA Estimator

Our client is a leading technical contractor with projects across the UK, Ireland, Mainland Europe, USA, and Canada. They specialize in Advanced Manufacturing, Data Centres, Food, Logistics, and Pharmaceuticals. Over the past 20 years, they have expanded to become a multi-million-pound company. They are currently seeking CSA Estimators to join their Head Office in the UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and architectural scopes based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
2. Analyse tender documents, bills of quantities, and technical submissions to assess material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
3. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and evaluate proposals for compliance with scope and commercial terms.
4. Identify risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities within the CSA package, contributing to bid strategy and project planning.
5. Collaborate with design, planning, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of the estimate with current design development and market conditions.
6. Maintain up-to-date cost databases and benchmark data specific to data centre CSA works, including groundworks, structural steel, concrete, cladding, and internal finishes.
7. Support the preparation of tender submissions and cost reports, including pricing clarifications, assumptions, and cost breakdowns for client review.
8. Assist in post-tender negotiations, cost comparisons, and the handover of the final estimate to the project delivery team for implementation and cost tracking.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years\’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role or similar.
• A Level 7 qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
