SEND Teaching Assistant

Five Education islooking for a caring and dynamic Teaching Assistant (TA) to work within a SEND school in South Bristol.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to support children with a range of additional needs, including physical disabilities, ASC, speech and language difficulties, and other specific learning difficulties.

At Five Education, we welcome both experienced professionals and those new to education who are enthusiastic about making a difference. You'll be supported throughout your placement with training opportunities such as Team Teach, PMLD Awareness and Makaton, along with ongoing guidance from your dedicated consultant.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the delivery of EHCPs.

• Supporting individual students or small groups with their academic and personal development.

• Helping children engage with classroom activities and promoting independence.

• Supporting students with personal care as needed.

• Working alongside specialists such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and SENCOs.

• Assisting with the preparation of resources and maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
