CNC Miller – Peterborough PE3. Based in Peterborough, UK, my client have been providing engineering and manufacturing services for 25 years to a range of industries including Automotive and Motorsport, Marine, Agriculture, Oil & Gas and Aerospace. Through growth they are looking for a CNC Miller to join the team on a permanent basis. Mon-Thurs 8:30-4:30pm, Fri 8:30-3:30pm Duties: Key Responsibilities: * Program, set up, and operate CNC mills to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. * The ability to look at best methods for work holding and machining. * Select and install cutting tools, adjust tool offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance. * Interpret and modify CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes and minimize cycle times. * Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime. * Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances. * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Requirements: * Proven experience as a CNC Miller with proficiency in programming, setting, and operating mills * Proficiency with Haas controls is required. * CADCAM Experience desirable – ONECNC * Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols. * Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
