Our client is an established original equipment manufacturer and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Fitter. The successful candidate will be based at our client's production facility near Bristol. The Role: Reporting to the production manager you will work alongside a team of experienced fitters and you will assist with the build and assembly of automated machinery. Duties will include but is not limited to the following; Read engineering drawings & assembly of components to the required specification Use of hand tools and bench tools as required Drilling, tapping, fixing and fitting of componentsCandidate: The successful applicant will have good mechanical engineering skills and you will have previous experience in fitting or assembly work. You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and you will be competent in the use of hand tools, drills, bench tools etc etc. Time served engineers or apprentice trained fitters welcome to apply.
