Calling all Mechanical and Electrical Project Managers based in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, we are recruiting on behalf of one of the UKs Premier contractors; who are delivering a the MEP refurbishment of a major pharmaceutical site. Client: Over the past 40 years our client has established itself as an industry leading M&E contractor operating within the UK. With a turnover in excess of £500M they undertake projects in a variety of fields including Pharmaceutical, Commercial Offices, Data centres, Residential and public sectors. Having reputable name within the industry they benefit form a large amount of repeat business, with blue chip clients including: Sir Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease, Multiple, Wates, Mace and ISg. Projects range from £1M to £50M, consisting of fit out, new build, major project and infrastructure works. As a result of increased work winning they are looking to expand their operations team. Senior Electrical Project Manager: up to £105,000 + Car Allow. + Travel + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus Senior Mechanical Project Manager: up to £105,000 + Car Allow. + Travel + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus Based in Bagshot the successful candidate will be reporting into a Project Director. He/she will have an emphasis on technical input and coordination. Within their own discipline they will be responsible for leading the engineering and delivery of the project(Project size £50M.) The facility is on a large plot the site will house a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility with amenity areas; consisting of the refurbishment of 5 buildings, including laboratory, office space and amenity areas Preconstruction will start in the new year, with the install beginning around the end of Q2. The successful candidate will be expected to take the project from pre-construction through to handover. Key to this role is relationship management, team coordination and project reporting. The position will be supported by a team of engineers, construction managers and supervisors Role/Responsibilities: * Tender review/validation * Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) * Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant * Technical submittals * RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors * Value Engineering where applicable * Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project * Health & Safety management (RAMs) * Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey. * Management of variations * Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors) * Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings * Overseeing commissioning stages * Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover The Ideal Candidate should have: * Have at least gained a HNC in a relevant Building Services Course * Must have experience running MEP over £10M * Must have major commercial, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience. * Strong communication skills * Be within commuting distance of Slough * A willingness to develop their career and to strive towards promotion * Will be familiar working on large shell & core projects * A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role * Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Wates, Mace and Lend Lease.
