About the role: The SharePoint Specialist manages all aspects of SharePoint environments, including design, architecture, availability, performance, and security. This position drives strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and collaborative tools, working independently in a fast-paced environment. Currently, 80% of applications are cloud-based, with 20% on-premises, with plans to migrate the remaining on-prem applications within the next 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage SharePoint on-premises infrastructure (2016 to SharePoint Server Enterprise Edition) and M365 ecosystem, championing governance and fostering adoption across the organization
- Deliver end-to-end administration of SharePoint servers and core services (including Search, Metadata, User Profile, and Application Management)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to craft business solutions and enhance SharePoint functionality
- Orchestrate full M365 migration strategy and implementation
- Establish integrations between SharePoint and Azure/Entra registered applications, B2B, B2C, and multi-factor authentication
- Deliver technical support, troubleshooting, and end-user capability development
- Develop frameworks for information architecture and secure content management within M365
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on SharePoint administrative expertise (versions 2016, 2019, SE, OneDrive, M365)
- Must have on-premises SharePoint experience
- Strong experience in SharePoint deployment, configuration cycles, and system upgrades
- Proficient in technical requirement gathering, document management using metadata taxonomies, and information architecture
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of SharePoint ecosystem (Server 2016 to SE On-Prem, SharePoint Online, Teams), SharePoint Add-Ins framework, and technical architecture
- Advanced skills in permission models and security implementation
- Experience integrating Azure/Entra services, managing external access (B2B/B2C), and implementing MFA
- Technical competency with SQL 2016/2022, Azure/Entra platform, and PowerShell automation
- Working knowledge of Nintex Forms and Workflow solutions
Desired skills: Dynamics (Dataverse), Purview information protection and data loss prevention, and Power BI implementation and dashboard creation
