ROLE OVERVIEW //
We are recruiting for a Knowledge Paralegal (Securitisation and Debt Capital Markets) to join the Financing Department.
The Financing group act for a broad range of clients and handle a variety of types of work rather than specialising in one small area. The group encompasses a number of practice areas including loan finance, debt capital markets, securitisation, derivatives and restructuring and insolvency.
This role will be focused primarily on securitisation, however, you will also work on debt capital markets. You will be working closely alongside the Knowledge Lawyers in the group but may also be liaising with partners and associates across the Financing Stream as a whole.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //
The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm.
Monitoring legal and market developments
Assisting with the securitisation market and regulatory updates
Supporting business development initiatives
Legal and market research
Updating the practice intranet site
Gathering know-how and precedents and uploading to the know how systems
Organising team meetings and training sessions
Assisting with queries from fee earners
If required, assisting with certain fee earning tasks.
CANDIDATE PROFILE //
Candidates for this position will be expected to have worked, or be working, in a similar role within a professional services environment, but that is not essential. However, an interest in, and the enthusiasm to develop knowledge of the debt capital markets and securitisation area, is essential.

Excellent eye for detail
Excellent legal technical knowledge
Ability to pick up new legal concepts quickly
Good IT skills and an ability to learn new IT systems quickly
