SystemsAccountants is working with a dynamic, fast-paced international business to recruit an Oracle EPM Systems Owner. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of Oracle FCCS and PBCS environments, supporting financial reporting and planning processes across the group.
As the Oracle EPM Systems Owner, you will be responsible for owning, managing, and enhancing Oracle FCCS and PBCS applications, ensuring they meet the organisation’s structural, financial, and operational needs. You will play a key role in supporting month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, while also leading future enhancements and contributing to the overall Oracle EPM roadmap. This position works closely with finance, technical teams, and third-party providers to troubleshoot issues, streamline processes, and enhance reporting through system optimisation.
- System Ownership & Administration: Maintain, configure, and support Oracle FCCS and PBCS applications in line with the company’s reporting and planning needs.
- Data Management: Oversee data integrations from source systems, manage data loads, mappings, and PowerShell automation scripts.
- Security & Access Control: Manage user roles, security, and access rights across Oracle EPM applications.
- Process Support: Lead system support during month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting cycles; coordinate key activities such as entity locks, consolidations, and journal postings.
- Development & Automation: Drive automation initiatives including topside journal templates, validation rules, business rules, and custom scripts.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Manage reporting artefacts such as task lists, user menus, dashboards, and substitution variables.
- System Enhancements: Evaluate patch updates, lead feature rollouts, and execute change management processes.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain process and system documentation, and provide user training across Oracle EPM and related platforms (including Workiva Wdesk).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal finance teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents and provide guidance on functional and technical issues.
We’re looking for someone who combines technical know-how with a strong finance background and great stakeholder management skills. Ideal candidates will have:
- Extensive experience managing Oracle EPM solutions, particularly FCCS and PBCS
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation, accounting principles, and budgeting processes
- Technical training in FCCS/PBCS and hands-on system development experience
- Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical mindset
- Great communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving business with competing priorities
- Experience with SUN, PRONTO, or Workiva Wdesk (advantageous)
- Willingness to travel occasionally (including to Africa)
