Vibe Recruit’s Automotive team is currently working with a well-established client in the Nottingham area to find a skilled and motivated Workshop Technician to join their team in an HGV setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technician with a passion for heavy vehicles to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment with excellent career growth opportunities., As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a fleet of HGVs, ensuring that all vehicles meet the highest safety and operational standards. You will work alongside a team of experienced technicians, using your knowledge and expertise to keep the fleet running smoothly and efficiently., Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of HGVs, including inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Work on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within the vehicles.

Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards, meeting health and safety regulations.

Keep accurate records of all work completed and parts used.

Assist with the preparation and planning of scheduled servicing and MOTs.

Diagnose and rectify faults, using diagnostic equipment and industry-standard tools.

Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Liaise with the workshop manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Previous experience as an HGV technician, mechanic, or similar role.

Knowledge of HGV systems and components.

Ability to work on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities.

Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).

A valid HGV driving license is desirable but not essential.
