Children’s Residential Support Worker * Experience is not essential – the desire to help others is * A UK manual driving licence is required – but you don’t need a car * Hourly rates from £12.12 to £12.54 – depending on qualification * Sleep-in rate is £78 – full time staff can expect up to 8 per month * £500 Welcome Bonus – once you pass probation period of 6 months * £1000 Refer A Friend scheme – maybe you know someone who would make a great support worker We are looking to recruit people to support children and young people in a residential home setting. Residential support roles require long day shifts with the ability to do sleep-ins at the home overnight. ROC Northwest holds an envious reputation offering high quality residential care and education for children and young people with adverse childhood experiences and who may also be living with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs. What is the role? Your role will be to support our children in the homes we provide for them, in all aspects of their daily lives. You’ll help them to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family, encourage them to integrate in the community by attending clubs, events and social activities. You will safeguard our children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm. When the children are not in the service you will be expected to undertake basic housekeeping duties where required. All this is done in a genuinely family feel environment, and this is key to success in this role. Other duties may also include activities such as watching a movie with the children, reading with them, taking walks, trying your hand on a games console or helping with other fun activities. All you need to do is bring the enthusiasm to support our service users and to take pride in being part of our family.
