ARCA Resourcing is working with a highly innovative engineering company developing next-generation simulation systems that deliver high-performance motion feedback across a range of advanced technology sectors. Their ground-breaking motion platforms enable enhanced data fidelity and ultra-low latency, offering superior performance compared to traditional motion systems.

Founded by a recognised expert in simulation systems, the company has grown steadily and now employs a talented engineering team delivering turnkey solutions to world-leading organisations.

THE ROLE

We are looking for outstanding Mechanical Engineers at various levels of seniority to join a high-performing technical team and play a key role in the ongoing design, validation, and improvement of complex electromechanical systems.

Whether you\’re early in your career or bring several years of experience, this is a chance to contribute across the full product lifecycle — from concept design and verification to hands-on build support and continuous improvement — within a company known for its precision engineering and technical ambition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop design solutions for components or sub-assemblies within mechanical or robotic systems, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
  • Identify and manage engineering risks through structured tools such as FMEA and risk registers.
  • Own the verification and validation of your designs through calculation, simulation, and physical testing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of existing systems and contribute to both immediate and long-term design improvements.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation and maintenance instructions to support assembly, operation, and lifecycle support.
  • Collaborate closely with internal build and commissioning teams as well as external suppliers to support manufacturing and system integration.
  • Maintain thorough design verification records in accordance with project quality standards.

THE PERSON

The successful candidate will bring a mix of creativity, rigour, and teamwork to the role. You’ll demonstrate:

  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative mindset, valuing team success as well as individual contribution.
  • Resilience and determination in solving complex technical challenges.
  • A focus on delivering reliable, high-quality engineering outcomes on time.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of applied physics and core engineering principles.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and ability to carry out structured technical analysis.
  • Fast learner with an aptitude for understanding complex systems and using software tools to solve technical challenges.
  • Skilled communicator, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Competence in CAD for 3D modelling and drafting.
  • Familiarity with design for low-volume production using composites, metals, and polymers.
  • Experience with FMEA and design risk assessment practices.
  • Ability to define and interpret simulations and physical tests to verify and validate designs.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis techniques (e.g., FEA or equivalent).

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should hold at least a 2:1 honours degree in mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering (or a closely related discipline) from a top-tier university. Candidates are also expected to have achieved strong A-level results (ABB or above, including Mathematics and Physics or equivalent qualifications).

LOCATION

This role is based on-site at the company’s engineering and test facility near Bristol. Regular presence in the workshop, test rigs, and build environment is essential. Some travel to suppliers and client sites within the UK and internationally may be required.

How to Apply

If you\’re a capable and motivated mechanical engineer — whether early in your career or bringing established expertise — we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short cover note to ARCA Resourcing, highlighting your relevant experience and interest in the role. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
