Temporary to permanent position, 4 on 4 off - 7pm to 7am, £25,130 pa. Rugby DIRFT based.

Our client, a large distributor, is looking for a Transport Clerk / Administrator who will work a 4 on 4 off shift, 7pm to 7am. This role will be temporary to permanent. You will have solid IT and administration skills and be a reliable helping hand.

The key responsibilities for a Transport Clerk:

  • Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
  • Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
  • Use customer systems to update delivery information
  • Monitor the return of equipment
  • Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
  • Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures

The key skills and experience needed for a Transport Clerk:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Able to effectively use IT, including Microsoft Office
  • Methodical and can follow instruction and procedure
  • Reliable
  • High levels of commitment and motivation, and can use own initiative
