We are searching for an experienced, creative, and driven Head of Sustainability to join their London office. This is your chance to lead projects, grow the business, and manage a talented UK-based team, while collaborating with a global network of experts.
The Role
As the Head of Sustainability, you will take on a pivotal role in delivering technical excellence and leadership across Building Physics and Sustainability projects. You’ll work with leading-edge clients to provide innovative, low-energy design solutions that make a real impact on sustainability and carbon reduction.
- Leading the delivery of sustainable and low-energy design projects within the built environment.
- Working closely with clients to enhance their sustainability performance through tailored, collaborative strategies.
- Growing and expanding the Sustainability function, including strategic direction, business development, and establishing the team as a core offering within the company.
- Overseeing a range of projects across Europe, the Middle East, Canada, and the Americas, while collaborating with global sustainability teams in Australasia, Hong Kong, and the UAE.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering sustainability assessment and consultancy services.
- Conducting calculations, computer modeling, and preparing high-quality reports and proposals.
- Leading the UK team while mentoring junior staff to foster career development.
- Managing projects, ensuring excellence in delivery, and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Supporting work-winning activities, including bids, innovation, and elevating the company’s profile in the market.
Your Background
- A degree in engineering, environmental science, building services, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in sustainability consultancy and green building assessments.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as BREEAM, LEED, TM65, and Nabers.
- Proficiency in ASHRAE 90.1/90.2 and experience developing carbon reduction strategies.
- A strong understanding of building physics, including thermal bridging, air movement, and solar analysis.
- Experience in estimating costs for Part O, Part L, and embodied carbon assessments.
- International project experience, particularly in the Middle East (advantageous).
