An innovative and data-driven Public Sector organisation is recruiting a Data Integration Lead to shape the future of its data infrastructure, with a particular focus on geospatial data and insight-driven services. This senior role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and strategy. You'll play a pivotal role in creating streamlined, secure, and intelligent data systems that enable smarter decisions and improved services for local communities.

Key experience we're looking for:

  • A solid track record in data engineering and ETL pipeline development, using tools like Airflow, Talend, or Informatica
  • Deep knowledge of SQL and fluency in programming languages such as Python, R, or DAX
  • Comfortable working with both relational and non-relational databases, including platforms like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server
  • Skilled in designing BI solutions using tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including modernising legacy reporting systems
  • Understanding of data privacy, security, and governance frameworks, particularly GDPR
  • Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex data integration projects

Geospatial capabilities (a strong advantage):

  • Familiarity with GIS tools and spatial data concepts
  • Experience incorporating geospatial data into analytics workflows
  • Ability to apply spatial insights to improve public services and policy outcomes

Desirable background includes:

  • Previous work in the public sector
