The Role As a rapidly growing company ,our client is committed to exceeding customer expectations by delivering high-quality bespoke products. To drive this mission, we are seeking a Packaging Application Engineer within the Nonwovens sector. This role is pivotal in supporting their customers by helping them design, optimize, and implement packaging solutions using their materials. The position involves significant travel to customer sites to provide hands-on expertise and support. Key Responsibilities Optimize Packaging Solutions: Collaborate with customers to optimize the performance of our packaging materials on MERZSystem or similar machines. Ensure packaging processes meet product specifications and industry standards while continuously improving efficiency. Setup and Commissioning: Assist customers in setting up and commissioning MERZSystem or similar packaging machines, ensuring seamless integration with our materials. Training and Education: Provide training to customers and prospects on maximizing the performance of their packaging machines with our materials. Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers and internal teams on the optimal use and maintenance of these machines. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Deliver ongoing technical support to customers using MERZSystem or similar machines. Troubleshoot and resolve compatibility and performance issues to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. I nternal Collaboration: Work closely with Product Development, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure our materials are designed for compatibility with customer machines. Identify and address quality issues related to material performance on these machines. Experience and Qualifications Industry Experience: Expertise in packaging engineering, particularly with automated systems such as: MERZSystem Pre-Made Pouch Bagging Machines Horizontal Form, Fill, and Seal (HFFS) Machines Vertical Form, Fill, and Seal (VFFS) Machines Flow Wrapping Machines Stickpack and Sachet Packaging Machines Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and presentation skills to convey technical information clearly. Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Additional Requirements: A valid driving license and passport to facilitate frequent travel to customer sites.
