About the role
Our client is an enormously successful and growing business services group, with interests in multiple international locations. You'll report in to the HR lead for several business units, to provide an effective support service as the organisation matures and continues its exciting growth trajectory. You'll already have experience working within HR, with a good baseline foundation knowledge of UK employment law and employment practices, for which CIPD studies/qualifications could prove advantageous.
Your role will offer real variety and breadth, ranging from HR administrative tasks (e.g. starter/leaver processes), HR policy advice and review, supporting with recruitment, coordinating Learning & Development, pay & benefits administration, and providing guidance on basic employee relations matters. You'll work closely, and be mentored by the HR lead, with the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of tasks and stakeholders within the People agenda, and the chance to use your initiative and take on greater responsibilities to develop your career.
You'll be joining a down to earth, lively and friendly team, in which there is a strong feeling of camaraderie. This role is a full-time, office-based position, situated in lovely offices in Canary Wharf.
Salary: £30-35,000 p.a + pension + 25 days holiday + private health + discretionary bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
- Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team.
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) on the HRIS.
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing pre-employment checks, assisting in short-listing, issuing employment contracts etc.
- Maintain staff records on benefits platforms.
- Assist managers in performance management procedures where required.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
- Assist with onboarding/induction, including booking venues and supporting new hires on any questions or requirements they may have.
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback.
- Network with other internal functions and colleagues effectively.
