Radiodetection, a global leader in the design and development of test equipment used for locating underground utilities, is seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a strategically important territory. This region has a strong history of success, and we are looking for someone to build upon this.

This is a high-impact, field-based sales role, combining direct sales with the management of channel partners and resellers. You will be selling a premium portfolio of hardware, complemented by training and service solutions. A strong commercial understanding, coupled with the ability to re-engage former customers and deepen existing relationships, is essential.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Growing territory sales across a 70% channel / 30% direct mix
  • Managing, supporting and developing relationships with channel partners, rental companies, and resellers
  • Driving business development with new and existing end users, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell
  • Re-engaging with lapsed accounts and converting warm leads into active customers
  • Providing technical demonstrations and advice to customers
  • Working closely with the wider sales and product teams to deliver accurate forecasts and insight from the field

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record in external sales, ideally selling technological solutions in sectors such as the utilities, construction, civil engineering, survey and/or equipment rental
  • Strong experience in managing and growing channel partner relationships
  • Commercially savvy with a customer-first mindset
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience of working with CRM systems and reporting pipelines
  • A full UK driving licence
