Lusona Consultancy is delighted to be retained by Green Home Systems Ltd to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team based in Irvine. Green Home Systems (GHS) installs energy efficiency measures in domestic and commercial properties. This is an exciting time to join an established business experiencing sustained growth in a high-demand sector. An ideal opportunity to join the finance team in a varied and hands-on role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

The Role:

  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Credit control management
  • Supporting with monthly management accounts process
  • Ad hoc duties as required

The Ideal Candidate will bring:

  • Strong Bookkeeping and VAT processing experience (derived from a similar role within industry and commerce or a bookkeeping/accounts preparation role within Accountancy Practice).
  • Experience involving the preparation of data required for the monthly management accounts process.
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive, organised, and confident approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with Sage 200 would be an advantage (although training can be provided)

Our client offers a salary of £28k - £35k (DOE), plus professional qualification study support for those who require it. Likewise, benefits will include bonus, pension and health insurance scheme. This position is fully office based in Irvine (Mon - Thurs 8:45am - 5:15PM and Fri 8:45am - 3:45pm).
