Our client is a major utilities contractor delivering a large portfolio of HV and EHV schemes in the varied and growing energy market. Milford RES has been asked to source an experienced health and safety director / senior SHEQ operations manager to oversee the business development and implementation of health and safety strategy. The successful applicant will have a national remit but ideally will be based in the Midlands.
To apply for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrable experience acting in a Senior SHEQ capacity at director or operations manager level
- You will have worked for a major electrical engineering contractor or client
- Time served / experienced SHEQ advisor / manager background
- You will be able to demonstrate a track record of developing and implementing company health and safety strategies and initiatives
- Extensive relevant health and safety qualifications
- You must have worked in the power / energy sector incorporating a wide range of substation, National Grid, DNO, IDNCO and ICP experience
- Rail electrification and M&E experience is also acceptable but applicants must have some sort of electrical industry experience
- Applicants must be autonomous, professional and comfortable dealing with senior industry stakeholders
- You must be based in the UK and fully eligible to work in the UK
- You must have a full driving license and be happy travelling as business dictates (expenses paid)
