Civil Engineer with design experience (AutoCAD and Revit) required to join an independent company, working on a range of high voltage schemes, including substations and new connections / grid integration.
Responsibilities:
- Design of civil engineering infrastructure for various HV renewable energy projects (substations, cables etc), ensuring adherence to industry standards, company code of practice and client requirements.
- Be responsible for document control of civil engineering drawings.
- Show an understanding of architectural and structural detailing (including concrete reinforcement) and be able to do this using Revit.
- Produce design briefs.
- Offer technical support across project lifecycle.
- Manage external design resource when used, ensuring technical compliance.
- Design review to ensure work produced is in line with industry standards, legislation and scope of works.
- Financial management of civil engineering portion of projects.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Background as a Civil Design Engineer with strong knowledge of Eurocodes and experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
- Driving licence.
