The Role and Candidate
We are hiring a Head of Logistics & Distribution (Europe) to lead all aspects of POP MART’s regional logistics execution, including inbound shipments, customs coordination, warehouse operations, and store delivery across multiple countries. As the business continues to expand, this role will play a critical part in ensuring that physical operations remain responsive, efficient, and aligned with evolving commercial needs. Reporting to the Head of Europe, you will oversee 3PL partners and the internal logistics structure, driving performance across fulfilment, delivery, and execution for store openings and regional campaigns. You will work closely with the Regional Merchandising, Business Development, and Retail Operations teams to ensure seamless execution across markets. The ideal candidate brings strategic leadership and hands-on experience in logistics, with a strong ability to manage external vendors, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and implement scalable processes in a growing multi-country retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Logistics Strategy & Regional Oversight
- Define and lead POP MART Europe’s logistics and distribution strategy, covering inbound, warehousing, and last-mile delivery across multiple countries
- Translate commercial priorities and regional expansion plans into scalable, cost-efficient logistics execution models
- Ensure logistics capabilities are adaptable for new store openings, campaign launches, and cross-border retail operations
- 3PL & RDC Management
- Manage strategic relationships with third-party logistics and RDC, setting clear KPIs, service expectations, and governance cadence
- Lead quarterly business reviews with vendors across Europe, ensuring fulfilment performance, stock accuracy, and capacity planning are continuously aligned with business needs
- Oversee RDC operational readiness for high-volume periods, store expansions, and product launch waves, ensuring local teams and partners are fully prepared
- Delivery & Store Fulfilment Governance
- Set regional delivery frameworks and escalation protocols for all store and inter-market shipments
- Oversee the creation and adherence to delivery schedules, while ensuring in-market teams have visibility and support for their fulfilment needs
- Intervene in high-impact delivery issues or structural delays, coordinating with local teams and vendors to restore service continuity
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Planning
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure demand plans, allocation strategies, and inbound volumes are feasible from a logistics standpoint
- Act as the senior logistics representative in campaign, S&OP, and launch planning discussions with Retail, BD, and Merchandising teams
- Provide early risk flags on logistics constraints and capacity risks, and advise on prioritisation or adjustments
- Operational Performance & Compliance
- Set and monitor regional logistics KPIs, including on-time delivery, cost per unit, warehouse utilisation, and SLA adherence
- Review operational reporting and performance dashboards regularly with direct reports and partners, ensuring action plans are in place for deviations
- Ensure all logistics activities meet EU regulatory, customs, and safety standards, coordinating audits or compliance reviews where needed
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and develop the logistics & distribution function across Europe, including potential direct reports managing transport, warehouse coordination, or delivery scheduling
- Define role clarity, workflows, and priorities for the logistics team to ensure agility, accountability, and business alignment
- Champion continuous improvement and scalability in all logistics-related processes and systems, enabling the team to support a growing multi-country retail footprint
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or regional distribution management
- Strong experience working with 3PL providers, RDC oversight, and inbound logistics across multiple European countries
- Demonstrated ability to support new store setups, international stock flow, and high-SKU physical execution in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to manage vendor SLAs, transport contracts, and cost controls while maintaining service quality
- Strong data and performance management skills. Able to interpret KPIs and drive actionable improvements
- Hands-on leader with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus
- Willing and able to travel regularly to our Netherlands RDC and across Europe
Desirable but Not Essential
- Experience in lifestyle or youth consumer retail environments
- Background in managing bonded or VAT warehouse operations
- Familiarity with WMS, TMS, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan)
- Prior exposure to Asia-based HQ or cross-regional logistics coordination
