The predicted salary is between 32000 - 36000 £ per year.

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 p.a. + benefits

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm – some flexibility subject to agreement with some remote/hybrid offered after successful completion of training

Location: Commutable from Stockport, Greater Manchester, Altrincham, Sale, Pendlebury and surrounding areas

Company: Our client is one of the UK's leading building products manufacturers committed to building healthy and long-term solutions across the construction and building industry. This role is focusing within the residential buildings and will build relationships with construction companies, architects, contractors etc.

The Marketing Product Manager will work closely with the marketing, strategy and sales teams to bring the products to market, as well as being able to carry out analysis on competitors on pricing, margins, USP's, customer requirements, NPD and to carry out case studies, press and e-shots to help promote their products.

Our client is flexible and is looking for flexibility in the successful candidate, so would consider working occasionally from home and will also support any additional training and qualifications that the successful candidate would be pursuing.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider Marketing team on integrated marketing campaigns for both the roofing and construction divisions, to drive both brand awareness and ROI.
  • Launch of new products including initial market research to justify investment and creation of marketing plans to achieve targeted sales, using the marketing mix to identify routes to market and pricing strategies based on competitor research. Ongoing monitoring following launch to maximise brand awareness and ROI opportunities.
  • Ongoing competitor analysis to identify product gaps and SWOT analysis to feed NPD opportunities.
  • Analysis of product category sales in terms of margin by volume and value, analysing market share statistics for key products as well as market potential for new markets.
  • Copywriting for literature and case studies, working with the Marketing Communications team. Seizing on PR opportunities to promote added value solutions through case studies, from conception to completion, liaising with customers in the specification chain.
  • Liaison with customers through field days with the sales team to give support, gain market intelligence, generate feedback on products and potential ideas for NPD and EPD.
  • Occasional visits to manufacturing factories to understand the product manufacturing process, quality, and procurement.
Requirements:
  • Self-starter with ability to self-motivate and prioritise workload.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, comfortable with customers and other stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working operationally at ground level but with a strategic mindset.
  • Good copywriting skills, able to interpret and communicate technical information to a specification audience.
  • At least two years marketing or product management experience, involving the marketing mix.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is desirable but not essential, along with product marketing experience in B2B sectors.
