Quantity Surveyor- Weston Super-mare

Currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a growing and dynamic company bases in Weston super-Mare. We\’re particularly interested in someone who can be office-based five days a week and is eager to take on a broad and engaging role. Ideal Background: While a background in steelwork would be a strong advantage, we\’re also open to candidates with experience across other areas of the building trades. Key Skills & Responsibilities: Strong contractual knowledge (especially JCT and NEC) Experience preparing and analysing monthly valuations and applications Proven ability to liaise with project teams to monitor costs and flag issues early Skilled in managing variations, including submissions and negotiations Confident in preparing progress reports and updates Familiarity with subcontractor payment valuations Good proficiency with computers and related softwareAdditional Responsibilities May Include: Aligning applications with payment schedules Feasibility studies and cost planning Preparing tender packages, contracts, and BOQs Risk management, value engineering, and cost control Evaluating repair/maintenance costs Negotiating contracts and schedules Ensuring compliance with regulations Producing budget and performance reports Advising on claims, disputes, and contractsIf this sounds like something you\’d be open to exploring, I\’d love to have a quick chat and share more details.
