Currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a growing and dynamic company based in Weston super-Mare. We're particularly interested in someone who can be office-based five days a week and is eager to take on a broad and engaging role.
Ideal Background: While a background in steelwork would be a strong advantage, we're also open to candidates with experience across other areas of the building trades.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Strong contractual knowledge (especially JCT and NEC)
- Experience preparing and analysing monthly valuations and applications
- Proven ability to liaise with project teams to monitor costs and flag issues early
- Skilled in managing variations, including submissions and negotiations
- Confident in preparing progress reports and updates
- Familiarity with subcontractor payment valuations
- Good proficiency with computers and related software
