I am currently working with a UK law firm in Taunton who are looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to their busy Conveyancing Department. They are seeking someone with a keen interest and eagerness to learn, who can provide support with a flexible and positive approach. The firm is known for its friendly and welcoming environment and rewards those who wish to progress their career.
About the Role:
- Regularly update clients and agents, and provide email and phone support in the team leader's absence.
- Draft contract packs and various letters as needed.
- Prepare files for completion and handle post-completion tasks through to file closure.
- Take initiative in addressing queries and proactively seek solutions.
- Support and collaborate with the team leader and other team members.
- Coordinate effectively with other departments and external contacts as needed.
- Accurately maintain and update client information in the firm's database.
- Process forms, including client questionnaires and money laundering documents.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and compliant file management and office systems.
- Proofread all documents for spelling and grammar errors.
- Prepare report bundles, both electronically and manually.
- Prepare completion statements and account forms.
- Manage and schedule deeds to keep records current.
- Clarify instructions from fee earners if they are unclear or deadlines are not specified.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5:00 pm
