Number 2 Flexographic Printer Salary: £31,900 per annum Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Shifts: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights (Monday to Friday only) Benefits: 26 days annual leave, salary sacrifice pension scheme, additional reward and recognition schemes We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established flexible packaging manufacturer seeking a Number 2 Printer to join their high-performing flexo print department. The Role As a Number 2 Printer, you will play a key role in supporting the print press operation, ensuring quality output that meets customer specifications. Responsibilities include machine set-up, ink and colour checks, quality assurance, and general maintenance. Example Shift Pattern (12-hour shifts, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am) Mon: Days Tue: Days Wed: Off Thu: Nights Fri: Nights Sat–Sun: Off Rotating thereafterKey Responsibilities Assist in setting up and operating the flexo press Change sleeves, anilox rollers, doctor blades, and mandrills Set print pressures and machine tensions Conduct quality checks including ink viscosity, barcode accuracy, and register Monitor ink levels and troubleshoot issues during production Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and environmental standards Maintain accurate records using internal systemsWhat We’re Looking For Previous experience in a similar flexographic printing role, as a print assistant, number 2, or similar Knowledge of Bobst or Allstein Printing Presses highly desirable High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and grow within the role Understanding of health and safety, COSHH, and hygiene proceduresThis is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary, structured shift pattern, and opportunities for ongoing training and career progression.
