We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join our clients expanding team in Pinxton on a permanent basis.
Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Customer Service, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure optimal material supply and maintain excellent customer service.
- Monitor raw material and finished goods stock levels, managing inventory within defined parameters.
- Oversee logistics planning, including coordination of material flow between overseas suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to stock and material control.
- Ensure high levels of service from suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Make informed decisions independently within set authority limits concerning materials control.
- Work closely with internal teams on procurement and service provision needs.
- Raise production orders as needed and support planning activities.
- Provide costings for procurement queries and assist with purchasing decisions.
- Generate reports and statistical data as required.
- Develop and maintain detailed production plans for the manufacturing team.
Experience & Skills Required:
- A good understanding of purchasing and materials control, including Pull systems and MRP.
- Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in telephone and written communication.
- Knowledge of import processes and documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience is advantageous.
