Job Title: Junior NDT Technician Location: Aberdeen Texo Recruitment is currently seeking a Junior NDT Technician for one of our clients in Aberdeen. The role involves conducting inspections, testing, and recertification of both company-owned and customer-owned CCU’s (Cargo Carrying Units) and lifting equipment. Duties and Responsibilities * Perform Return Inspections on tanks, containers, baskets, skips, and lifting equipment. * Conduct visual inspections of lifting equipment, including CCUs, tanks, containers, lifting slings, and shackles. * Remove damaged slings and shackles from CCUs and replace with new ones. * Carry out goods receipt inspection on slings and shackles and ensure they are properly stored on racks. * Maintain daily records of equipment inspections and tests, and prepare NDT reports. * Perform NDT testing of lifting lug welds using MPI techniques. * Undertake minor repairs, maintenance, and aesthetic improvements on equipment. * Update completed inspections using the company’s handheld device. * Travel to customer sites, both onshore and offshore, to test and inspect customer-owned equipment, including various types of lifting equipment. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required * Strong work ethic and high attention to detail. * Good physical fitness as the role is labour-intensive. * Certification to perform multiple NDE of welds and casts (MPI/LP & ET/UT). * B1 Forklift License (minimum requirement).
