Your new Company is looking for a highly motivated and commercially focused individual, with a proven successful sales and account management background. As an Area Sales Manager, reporting to the National Territory Manager, you will be responsible for attaining the agreed individual and sales team targets by promoting and selling equipment and services to existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach, maximising sales profitability and growth within a designated territory.
Product Portfolio includes:
- Various forklift trucks and warehouse equipment
- Other new products as required and sanctioned by the Sales Director
- Used Equipment
- Service & maintenance agreements
Role of the Area Sales Manager:
- To achieve agreed annual target of selling new, used and materials handling equipment
- To generate new leads and business development opportunities by researching sources for developing prospective customers
- To manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
- To plan and manage a personal business portfolio for assigned territory according to the market development strategy
- To demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
- To establish, develop and maintain customer relationships and to follow up once delivery of a truck has taken place
- To be involved in continuous improvement of processes and procedures with other team members as requested
- Regularly demonstrate Company values of Integrity, Courage, Collaboration & Excellence
Territory to be covered is Midlands and South West area.
Required skills of the Area Sales Manager include experience of material handling equipment, plant hire or high value machinery sales, which is not essential but would be an advantage. We are looking for someone who can show previous success in sales, is self-motivated, and is happy to work in a role where they will be seeking new business and following up leads. If you have experience in sales but are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you. You will need to be commercially minded, IT literate, and have excellent communication skills.
