Job Description
About the RoleWe are looking for a Design Manager who will take full ownership of the design process on a landmark £100 million project in Glasgow. This role is about accountability-ensuring that every design decision aligns with project objectives, deadlines, and quality standards. You will be the driving force behind design delivery, leading coordination and problem-solving across all disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design process from concept to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all design outputs.
- Act as the single point of accountability for design coordination, approvals, and issue resolution.
- Proactively manage design risks, dependencies, and interfaces to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring clarity and commitment to design requirements.
- Champion value engineering and innovation while maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Background: Strong foundation in Project Management or Engineering, with proven experience in design leadership.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years managing design on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Relevant Tertiary qualification such as Degree in Engineering or Construction Project Management
