This is one of a few brand new roles with an exciting and genuinely unique technology start-up company in Cheltenham. They are looking to secure a Senior/Lead Electronics Engineer to take ownership of the hardware development for their range of products. The company develops telecommunications and monitoring devices for harsh environments across the globe. The role involves predominantly greenfield development with very little (if any!) supervision, so it’s vital that you’re able to work independently, problem solve and take complete ownership of the electronics/hardware development for the team.

LOCATION: Cheltenham (on-site)

SALARY: ~ £75,000

Essential skills required for the role are:

  • PCB design, schematics (any package)
  • Exposure to RF/comms modules e.g. GNSS, LoRa, BLE
  • Basic understanding of firmware for HW/SW integration
  • Project ownership and leadership with minimal supervision across whole product lifecycle
  • Design for harsh environments appreciation
  • Rigorous testing experience

Beneficial skills:

  • Satellite comms industry exposure
  • Safety-critical / high reliability development

The nature of the company and the projects requires loads of knowledge and idea sharing between team members. Therefore, the role is based on-site in Cheltenham. But flexible working hours to cater for travel, family etc. is allowed.
