Are you ready to elevate your Private Client career? We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking regional law firm based in the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester. Due to continued growth, their award-winning Private Wealth department is seeking a proactive Trust & Tax Manager to join their highly regarded team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work alongside experienced partners and talented professionals on a varied caseload involving trust administration, inheritance tax, and probate matters. - Oversee the preparation of trust accounts, tax returns, and IHT reporting
- Advise on CGT, Income Tax, and IHT liabilities, ensuring full compliance and efficiency
- Coordinate trustee meetings and prepare accurate minutes
- Process payments and discretionary distributions from trusts
- Review trust deeds and provide clear interpretations in collaboration with the wider team
- Maintain regular communication with partners and assist with billing and client updates
- Uphold high standards in both written and verbal client communications
- You’re passionate about trust and estate work and committed to developing your career in Private Wealth
- You bring strong people skills, attention to detail and a commercial mindset
- You’re a natural organiser with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Experience with CCH or similar tax software is a plus – but not essential
- You enjoy sharing knowledge, working collaboratively and taking initiative
- STEP Diploma or equivalent tax qualification is desirable – however, demonstrable experience is just as valuable
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), based in the firm’s Manchester head office in Spinningfields. The role offers flexible working arrangements with the option to work remotely up to two days a week.
