Senior Social Worker – Children’s Assessments Service Choice of Office Location: Cotswolds, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham, Gloucester Salary: £36,648.00 – £44,428.00 per annum + £2000 Retention Hours per Week: 37 Contract Type: Permanent Style: Hybrid working We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Senior Assessments Social Worker in the vibrant borough of Gloucestershire. As a Senior Assessments Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the Assessments team in delivering outstanding safeguarding services for vulnerable children and young people in our community. Key Responsibilities: Undertake Child and Family assessments to determine the best course of action for children’s needs. Manage lower caseloads, allowing for comprehensive social work interventions. Form positive relationships with families and professionals to facilitate positive changes for children and young people. Contribute to our relationship-based practice framework, aligning with our Values and Behaviours. Support the professional development and growth of the team through supervision, mentoring, and training. Requirements: A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Extensive experience working within an Assessments context, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, partner agencies, and diverse stakeholders. Ability to analyse complex information, assess risks, and make evidence-based decisions to safeguard the well-being of children and young people. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
