The Global Digital Products & Advanced Analytics team, within the global commercial CX and Data group (a.k.a Digital Fuel), is driving a fundamental transformation building new Digital and AI capabilities.
The Director of Global Product Discovery plays a key role in leading the team who will be transforming how global commercial functions at GSK leverage digital and AI capabilities to solve their key business problems. The team will be accountable for leading rapid prototyping, early discovery, and development of solutions for stakeholders across global business functions such as Market Access, Strategic Insights, and Commercial Capabilities teams for Global Commercial. Success will require close partnership with data science, engineering, and other technical colleagues to deliver a comprehensive and diverse portfolio of digital and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating business value through digital and AI solutions for global commercial functions:
- Deliver business value through the rapid application of novel digital and AI solutions, leveraging GSK’s decision science, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities.
- Encourage experimentation and innovation, with principles in place to promote effective and impactful use of resources to ensure we are problem-solving across critical, unmet business needs.
- Assess desirability, feasibility, and viability of both existing early solutions and new opportunities to ensure constant prioritization and impactful delivery.
- Iterate and enhance key in-flight solutions.
Fostering strong stakeholder relationships through collaboration:
- Foster relationships across diverse business functions, creating a one-stop shop for global commercial functions to go to when tackling opportunities to be solved with digital and data capabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Digital and Tech to avoid duplication of effort, create community of practices, and future-proof solutions for scale and maturity.
- Translate the complex to the simple, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams to drive co-creation of solutions.
Driving focused delivery through team leadership:
- Lead team of direct reports and matrix partners (e.g., data scientists, data engineers) to deliver solutions, from proof-of-concept phase through industrialization.
- Develop and articulate the strategic vision across global commercial solutions and discovery portfolio.
- Drive focus in team by ensuring members are leveraging consistent methodology, resourcing, and governance of solutions and use cases.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team dynamic.
