We are looking for a proactive and practical Facilities and Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep and smooth operation of our client’s premises, services, and external areas. This role is ideal for someone with strong DIY and maintenance skills, a hands-on approach, and a keen eye for safety and detail.

Please note, certain tasks involving electricity, gas, and specialist services must be carried out by approved subcontractors and not the job holder. The Facilities and Maintenance Officer is expected to report such issues and support external contractors as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the company’s buildings, services, gardens, car park, and external grounds to a high standard
  • Support the preparation and dispatch of Kit orders
  • Carry out general manual handling tasks, such as storage organisation and movement of deliveries
  • Escort and oversee subcontractors and manage supplier deliveries and removals
  • Perform basic maintenance, cleaning tasks, and drive company vehicles for collections, deliveries, and errands
  • Report any defects or hazards in vehicles or facilities promptly
  • Keep records and documentation related to facilities maintenance up to date
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks and support special projects as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all company rules and safety procedures
Qualifications and Experience
  • Have experience in DIY, building, services, and garden maintenance
  • Be familiar with using maintenance tools and machinery safely and effectively
  • Have a strong understanding of Health and Safety practices
  • Possess a flexible, methodical approach and work well within a team
  • Have good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels
  • Be computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence (category B) with substantial driving experience
  • Additional driving categories such as B+E, C1, or C1+E are an advantage
