Would you like to be the champion of quality for our customers? Join us as a Quality Development Engineer and take a pivotal role in upholding the excellence of our premium products. This key position within the QA New Product Development (NPD) team is responsible for leading all quality-related efforts across assigned NPD projects.

Key activities include:

  • Planning, oversight and reporting of test plans covering product validation, reliability testing and environmental testing.
  • Hands-on electrical, mechanical and cosmetic inspections during the NPD milestone process.
  • Representing the quality department within the cross-functional project team on New Product Development projects.
  • Managing and conducting product validation and testing including performance, environmental, functionality, reliability and cosmetic evaluations and approval in accordance with engineering and customer specifications.
  • Participating in design reviews to assure products will be reliable, cost effective and manufacturable, while focusing on preventative quality measures and process controls and improvements.
  • Leading and coordinating the Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA) activity.
  • Assisting Engineering in determining testing requirements and equipment needed for supplier and Masimo Consumer inspections.
  • Reviewing and approving mechanical/electrical/artwork drawings, checking for critical dimensions, appropriate design and tolerancing, as well as accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing specific supplier quality plans, test & inspection plans and cosmetic specifications.
  • Assisting in identification and investigation of quality-related problems, error causes, and effective corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Attending weekly project meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks concurrently on multiple projects.
  • Proficient in the analysis of electronic circuits to component level.
  • Proficient in reading electronic drawings / system architecture / block diagrams.
  • Proficient in use of electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, frequency analysers.
  • Working knowledge of content collaboration tools such as Confluence.
