Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to make a real impact in a high-tech, fast-paced industry? We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, working on a range of exciting international defence projects.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and ongoing support of cutting-edge systems and equipment. From creating new designs that meet internal and client specifications to supporting upgrades and modifications for existing products, you’ll be an integral part of delivering world-class engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing technical queries
- Generating design calculations
- Creating part numbers and bills of materials
- Developing detailed engineering documentation such as specifications, assembly instructions, and test procedures
- Liaising with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure the best technical solutions are achieved
- Ensuring all designs meet internal standards and industry regulations
- Site visits to client facilities or other company locations to support project delivery
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in mechanical design, with a strong understanding of DFA/DFM principles
- Proficiency in FEA analysis (e.g., ANSYS)
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, gas and fluid systems
- Familiarity with design standards (e.g., IMCA) and class society rules (e.g., LR, DNV)
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) experience
- Diving equipment design or diving qualifications (desirable)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance
