The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Reporting into the General Manager for EMEA, key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial and legal agreements such as T&C, sale and supply, marketing, advertising, and distribution agreements.
- Providing advice on various subject matters including employment law, store operations issues, consumer protection laws and advertising codes, and competition/antitrust law.
- Establishing and implementing legal procedures and guidelines; mitigating legal risks.
- Managing select litigation and disputes, working with outside counsel where necessary.
- Providing support to ensure continued compliance with applicable regulations such as GDPR, environmental and sustainability compliance.
- Supporting the business in expanding into new markets.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes :
- Qualified lawyer either in the UK or other jurisdiction with at least 5 years’ PQE gained in private practice or within an in-house environment (however all candidates will be considered on merit).
- Prior experience in the Retail, E-Commerce or Consumer industries will be favourable.
- Experience leading on a variety of commercial legal matters, ideally with experience working closely with commercial and retail functions.
- Strong analytical and technical drafting abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive commercial and solutions-focused approach in dealing with a variety of legal issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Good intercultural awareness and sensitivity.
