Weβre seeking a passionate writer and storyteller who will be responsible for delivering engaging content and contributing to programmes and campaigns that actively engage internal audiences around the world. Reporting to Bechtel Infrastructure's global head of communications and external affairs, this role requires close collaboration with our Corporate Affairs colleagues, senior business leaders, as well as functional and project teams.
The ideal candidate will be engaging and collaborative with a keen interest in the industry and communicating the impact of the amazing work our teams deliver. They will also have a strong track record of achieving results, building relationships at all levels, and will be fluent in employee communications platforms and best practice. The position is based at Bechtel's Infrastructure business headquarters, in London, UK.
Principal Responsibilities- Drafting senior leadership communications and delivering these in creative ways tailored for the individuals.
- Learning about our people and our projects, and sharing their stories on a range of communications channels.
- Curating our internal site with regular, engaging content.
- Managing major internal campaigns and initiatives, including panel events and conferences.
- Collaborating with functional managers, subject matter experts, and heads of business focus areas to develop content that engages our internal audiences on the business strategy.
- Proofreading and copy-editing materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to style, including the company's visual identity standards.
- Developing and analysing appropriate communications metrics.
- Extensive experience in internal or corporate communications roles with emphasis on storytelling.
- Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills.
- A quick learner with proven ability to communicate complex concepts in compelling, concise and creative ways.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to engage others at various levels of the organisation and develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse, global team members.
- Ability to take direction from multiple sources and prioritise effectively; must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint (2010+), Engage, and Stream as well as email content management systems including Proze.
- Knowledge of creating podcast and video content advantageous.
