An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Grinder to join a well-established company based near Fareham.

About Us:

We were first established as a Limited company in 1970, specializing in precision Grinding and quickly became a leading specialist in the field. We offer a great service by manufacture of parts and sub-assemblies complete to a wide range of customers in sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport (including Formula 1), Food/Scientific and Medical to name a few.

Due to the expansion of our Grinding Department, we are seeking an experienced Precision CNC Grinder to join our busy and expanding engineering team on a permanent basis.

Duties will include:

  • Setting and Operating Cylindrical and Surface Grinders, and other equipment within our busy Grinding department.

Candidate Requirements:

  • CNC Grinding (Studer (Fanuc) / Jones & Shipman) programming & setting experience an advantage.
  • Manual Cylindrical and Surface Grinding including internal and external grinding.
  • A good understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Must be a proactive team player.
  • Ability and knowledge of grinding complex parts to tight tolerances.
  • Able to use various types of measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
  • Experience of small / medium size batch work an advantage.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar sub contract manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm - Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm. Overtime paid at 1.5x

Salary: Up to £19.00 - £21.00 Per Hour (negotiable & depending on experience) Overtime paid at time and a half.

Private medical care available.
