Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Head of Taxation to lead our global tax function, providing expert guidance and oversight on all tax-related matters. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of international tax laws, transfer pricing regulations, and practices, with the ability to drive tax strategy, risk management, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement global tax strategy, aligning with business objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and oversight.
  3. Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements worldwide.
  4. Manage effective tax rate of the group through efficient tax planning.
  5. Manage tax risk, including transfer pricing, dispute resolution, and controversy.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations.
  7. Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  8. Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with local finance controllers in each operating jurisdiction and tax advisors.
  10. Oversee tax planning, provisioning, and reporting, including financial statement disclosure.
  11. Drive process improvements and efficiency in tax operations.

Requirements:

  1. Should be a Chartered Accountant having minimum post qualification experience of 15 to 20 years in taxation field with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  2. Strong understanding of international tax laws, regulations, and practices.
  3. Proven experience in tax strategy, risk management, and compliance.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  7. Experience within the media and entertainment sector is highly advantageous.
