We are working with an education provider in North Yorkshire who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Trainer/Assessor (Machining) to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role would involve you delivering manual machining and CNC training to level 2 & 3 learners at their main training centre in North Yorkshire, but there will also be a small number of workplace assessments which you will need to carry out.

The starting salary for this position is between £32,000 and £40,000 per annum, which would also include a contributory pension, fleet car access, business mileage of 45 per mile (if own car used), and 33 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays). The role would involve working 9 days each fortnight, with every other Friday given as a day off (which isn't subtracted from your holiday allowance).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:

  • An Engineering qualification (at level 3 or above)
  • Excellent machining skills
  • Assessor award
  • Full UK driving licence

This role will involve work with under 18's or vulnerable adults. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
