My client, a British manufacturer of iconic vehicles, is putting together a team of vehicle build technicians due to growth, and has places available for talented graduates and trainees. As a Vehicle Build Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on assembly and final build of my client’s iconic vehicles. Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be involved in all aspects of vehicle assembly, from trim and mechanical assembly to profiling, panel alignment, and interior trim fitting. Responsibilities: * Perform comprehensive vehicle preparation, assembly, and build, including trim and final assembly phases. * Execute both mechanical and electrical assembly tasks with precision. * Assemble components and sub-assemblies, building essential vehicle parts and systems from scratch. * Complete whole vehicle builds using a bay-build discipline, ensuring consistent quality and assembly standards. * Conduct profiling, panel alignment, and gapping to meet exacting standards of vehicle fit and finish. * Install part and full interior trim packages, enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic and functional appeal. * Identify and log any build issues, suggesting improvements for engineering and production teams. * Interpret engineering drawings accurately to guide assembly and ensure quality control. * Utilise a variety of handheld tools for assembly work and ensure the handling of precision components. * Apply fabrication and welding skills, if experienced, for specialised build tasks.
